ABOUT

This blog is maintained by Rebecca Langham, a full time high school teacher and parent, part-time reader and writer of books.  I have two young daughters and one teenage foster son. To give you an idea of my interests, I have majors in English, History, and Gender Studies, and I love playing broomball (though I'm pretty terrible at sport!).

I don't have the time or inclination to review every book I read but I aim to share my reading adventures in the world of LGBTI+ fiction, as well as any other books that engage with minorities. I also want to interact with other readers and writers by sharing author Q&As, especially with new and upcoming authors who may not experience as much exposure as those with the big publishing houses. If a book is printed by a boutique publisher (or is self-published) and involves diverse characters, then I'm interested in it.  I don't especially enjoy traditional romance novels, though I will read one every now and again. My genres of choice include sci-fi, historical fiction, fantasy, and contemporary literary fiction.

My first novel will be published by NineStar Press in early 2018. It is a science-fiction story with a F/F romance and secondary M/M romance. My characters include people who are lesbian, gay, pansexual, intersex, and heterosexual.
